IS SPARK FOR ME?
Do you hate fun and radical inclusion? If so, camp might not be for you. Do you desire to build community, meet new people, and nourish yourself in an accepting environment? If so, we think camp is for you!
I'M SHY, AND THIS ADULT CAMP THING SEEMS KINDA WACKY.
No problem! There is a place for you at camp. Introverts are welcomed and highly encouraged. All the curated activities at camp are optional and flexible. Campers are encouraged to explore their surroundings, relax, and participate in a variety of formats. This time around we are all adults…so we get to show up (or not) exactly as we are.
WILL IT STILL BE FUN IF I COME ALONE?
ABSOLUTELY! Camp is exactly the place to make new friends or enjoy time to yourself. We foster a culture of acceptance and openness unlike what adults typically experience in their everyday lives. Activities for small and large groups help people mingle and form meaningful connections with other campers.
HOW CAN I STAY IN TOUCH WITH MY FAMILY / FRIENDS / SIGNIFICANT OTHER WHILE I'M AWAY?
There is no better feeling than receiving a hand written letter or care package. Ask your friends and loved ones to send you snail mail and care packages in advance, and we will make sure they get to you while at camp. The art pagoda is a great place to create a one of kind greeting card to mail back home. BYOStamps!
CAN I BRING MY KID/PET/TOMATO PLANT?
SPARK welcomes everyone over the age of 18.
| ACCOMODATIONS |
WHERE WILL I STAY?
Open air cabins with ceiling fans, and storage cubbies offer the rustic camp experience with the comfort of a bed. Campers can choose between male, female, and gender-free cabins with bunk beds or bring their own tent, air matress, and padding to sleep under the stars in tent town. Male and female restrooms and showers are located a short walk from your cabin and tent town.
CAN I BE IN THE SAME BUNK WITH MY FRIEND/PARTNER/LOVER?
We will do our best to accommodate your requests. Keep in mind that cabins are assigned, while tent town is completely up to you.
WILL I HAVE TO EAT GROSS CAMP FOOD?
No way! Adult camp takes everything awesome about youth summer camp and does away with the things we didn't love. Instead of frozen hamburgers and soggy fries, SPARK offers healthy versions of what we ate at camp made with fresh, grown-up ingredients.
WHERE WILL I POOP?
Camp has multiple male and female facilities which include indoor plumbing (toilets, sinks, and shower stalls). Don't worry, everyone poops.

HOW CAN I GET TO CAMP?
SPARKS' host, Camp Livingston, is just over an hour drive from Cincinnati and a short drive from Chicago, Nashville, Columbus, Lexington, Louisville, and Indianapolis. There are limited parking spots on camp, so we encourage carpooling (stay tuned for a way to connect to other campers to find rides). Bus rides to and from Cincinnati may be available for an additional cost.
WHAT IF I'M FLYING / DON'T HAVE A CAR?
You can arrange carpools through our camp ride share program (TBA) or purchase a shuttle ticket, where you can meet fellow campers and make new friends before you even step foot on camp. The shuttle leaves from Cincinnati the morning of September 1st, so make sure to plan accordingly.
CAN I COME LATE?
While we strongly encourage everyone to arrive within the 2 hour welcome window, we understand that logistics might get in the way for some. Reach out to us at hello@mycampspark.com to work out details of a late arrival.
CAN I LEAVE EARLY?

HOW DO I APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?

| PACKING |
WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
We will send out a comprehensive packing list to all registered campers. Generally speaking, you will need sleeping gear, a pillow, toiletries, and clothing. Non-essentials might include, but are not limited to, musical instruments, cabin decorations, and magic tricks. We love personal expression, so feel free to bring random costumes, silly pajamas, or that fabulous pair of leggings you've been too scared to wear in public.
WHAT SHOULD I LEAVE AT HOME?
Valuables, technology, family heirlooms, drugs, and alcohol. We will have a tech check for your cell phone and any other devices you carry with you in your travels. Tech devices needed for medical purposes, such as insulin pumps, sleep machines, etc are absolutely allowed!
WHAT ABOUT MY CAMERA? HOW WILL I REMEMBER ALL THE FUN I HAD?
No digital cameras or cell phones are allowed, but have no fear—we have amazing photographers to document your experience so you won't have to...however, if you are a photo junkie and have an SLR or Polaroid camera sitting in your closet, we highly encourage you to bring it along.
